Life’s Stage

I used to take only photographs. The moment I pressed the shutter was a brief conversation between me and the world. Then, by chance, I came across the videos of the creator oboahy, and was moved by something beyond words. His images are not “quiet” they are alive with energy, a kind of force that comes from life itself, illuminating the ordinary moments we often overlook. I sincerely recommend his work.He reminded me that a camera isn’t meant to freeze time, but to let time keep breathing. When you watch his videos, you suddenly realize that life doesn’t need to be designed; it has always been beautiful enough on its own.
So I began to try, clumsily. Filming the wind, the water, and those fleeting moments when people drift apart. These fragments were shot in Xiamen, in the summer of 2022. The rhythm isn’t perfect, and the shots are far from steady. I’ve named this attempt “Life’s Stage.”
Still, showing this awkward attempt isn’t really the point. If you, too, are looking for a way to enjoying the life — please, go and watch oboahy’s videos. (www.oboahy.com)
I especially recomment the video “Closer Summer · Autumn”. (
